HUNTSVILLE, Utah (KUTV) — A 21-year-old woman was killed in a motorcycle crash on State Route 39 on October 5.
The incident occurred at approximately 2:41 p.m. near milepost 38, about four miles east of the Monte Cristo overlook. Authorities said the motorcyclist, from Hooper, was traveling west when she failed to negotiate a curve, veering off the roadway and striking multiple trees.
Officials with the Utah Department of Public Safety confirmed that the rider was pronounced dead at the scene. She was wearing a helmet and protective riding gear at the time of the accident.
Investigators indicated that speed may have been a contributing factor in the crash. No further details were released, and the investigation is ongoing.
