LESLIE COUNTY, Ky. (LEX News) — A two-vehicle collision on Hal Rogers Parkway left one person dead on Saturday afternoon.
Kentucky State Police responded to the head-on collision at mile marker 37 at 2:57 p.m., approximately one mile from the Clay County line.
Trooper Matt Gayhart confirmed that one individual died in the incident; the status of other potential injuries remains unclear. The identity of the deceased has not yet been released.
Emergency crews remained on the scene as of 7:30 p.m. Authorities are conducting an ongoing investigation into the circumstances surrounding the crash.
