MADISON (WKOW) — A single-vehicle crash on I-39/90 near mile marker 151 in McFarland resulted in one fatality and four injuries on Tuesday at approximately 4:30 p.m.
According to the Wisconsin State Patrol, an SUV lost control, entered the median, and rolled multiple times before coming to rest on the opposite side of the interstate. All lanes were closed in both directions for about four hours as crews responded to the scene.
Authorities are currently investigating the incident. The names of those involved are being withheld pending notification of next of kin.
Multiple agencies assisted at the scene, including the Dane County Sheriff's Office, Edgerton Police Department, Cambridge EMS, Deer Grove EMS, Lakeside Fire and EMS, Wisconsin State Patrol Dispatch, Dane County Coroner, and Dane County Medical Examiner's Office, along with the Dane County Highway Shop.
