OKLAHOMA CITY, Okla. (KOKH) — A head-on collision between two ATVs in Pittsburg County on July 3 resulted in one fatality and two injuries.
According to the Oklahoma Highway Patrol (OHP), 61-year-old Daniel Evans of Alma, Arkansas, was attempting to navigate a curve on Adams Street near N4300 Road when he lost control of his ATV. While swerving to avoid a second ATV, the two vehicles collided.
Evans was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the second ATV and a passenger sustained injuries, although their conditions were not immediately disclosed.
OHP confirmed that Evans was riding alone and did not have a passenger.
