TOWN OF JANESVILLE, Wis. (WKOW) — A 30-year-old man was pronounced dead and another hospitalized following a single-vehicle crash on N Newville Rd. Tuesday night.
According to the Rock County Sheriff's Office, deputies responded to the incident at the 5100 block of N Newville Rd. at approximately 10:50 p.m. The vehicle was traveling south when it left the roadway and struck a tree, causing it to overturn.
The deceased man was pronounced dead at the scene, while another male occupant was transported to a local hospital for treatment of his injuries. Authorities confirmed that emergency response included the Janesville Fire Department, Lakeside Fire and EMS, and the Janesville Police Department.
The Rock County Medical Examiner's Office and the Crash Reconstruction Team from the Rock County Sheriff's Office are currently investigating the incident. The name of the deceased will be released at a later date.
