HELENA — A fatal crash occurred on U.S. Highway 12 in Powell County between Elliston and Avon at approximately 2:13 p.m. on Thursday.
Authorities reported that the incident involved multiple vehicles, resulting in two confirmed fatalities.
Both lanes of the highway were initially closed but have since reopened. The Montana Highway Patrol is leading the investigation into the crash.
