DANVILLE, Ind. — A motorcyclist sustained serious injuries in a crash with a passenger vehicle early Friday morning at the West Split intersection of U.S. Highway 36 and East Main Street.
The incident occurred shortly before 5 a.m., according to the Danville Police Department. The motorcyclist was transported to a medical facility for treatment.
Authorities reported that members of the Danville Police Department's Investigations Division Crash Reconstruction Team responded to the scene to reconstruct the events leading to the collision.
Westbound U.S. 36 and the eastbound turn lane onto East Main Street were closed for several hours while the investigation took place. Officials are working to determine the cause of the crash.
