MORGAN, Utah — A motorcycle rider died Saturday night in a crash on I-84 amid traffic delays caused by a nearby wildfire.
According to the Utah Highway Patrol, the incident occurred as traffic was already congested due to closures from the Broad Fire, which has burned approximately 125 acres in Weber Canyon.
Authorities said a truck struck an SUV, which then collided with a motorcycle, pushing it into another vehicle. The motorcycle rider sustained fatal injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene.
The identity of the victim has not been released.
