Motorcyclist Injured in Deer Collision in Audrain County

A 54-year-old man sustained moderate injuries after his motorcycle struck a deer in Audrain County on Friday at 5:30 a.m.

According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the incident occurred on Route FF, west of Audrain County Road 989. The man was riding a 2009 Harley Davidson Sportster westbound when the deer attempted to cross the roadway.

The collision caused the motorcycle to overturn, resulting in the driver being thrown off. Emergency responders transported the man to University Hospital for treatment of his injuries.

The highway patrol is investigating the incident.
