One dead, two injured in Lancaster crash, police say

LANCASTER, Mass. —

A motorcyclist was killed and two others were injured in a crash in Lancaster, Massachusetts, on Friday afternoon.

The incident occurred on I-90 northbound near mile marker 17.6 at approximately 4:30 p.m.

According to Massachusetts State Police, the motorcyclist, a 50-year-old man from Holden, was transported to Leominster Hospital and later .

His identity has not been released.

One driver was taken to the hospital with serious injuries, while another suffered minor injuries and was treated at the scene.

The highway was closed for several hours during the investigation and reopened at 7 p.m.

Authorities are investigating the crash, with assistance from the Massachusetts State Police Collision Analysis and Reconstruction Section and the State Police Detective Unit assigned to the Worcester County District Attorney's Office.
