71-year-old man identified as victim in fatal I-95 three-car crash
A 71-year-old man was killed in a three-car crash that shut down several lanes of Interstate 95 in Westwood, Massachusetts, Wednesday evening.
Three vehicles were involved, including a three-wheeled motorcycle operated by the victim, identified as Harris Shippee of Warwick, RI.
According to the Norfolk District Attorney's Office, Shippee's motorcycle collided with a Jeep Wrangler in the southbound lanes.
Shippee was transported to a Boston hospital, where he later succumbed to his injuries.
A 70-year-old woman riding as a passenger on Shippee's motorcycle was taken to a Boston hospital with serious injuries.
Another vehicle, a Hyundai Sonata, was also part of the crash; its driver reported no injuries.
The Massachusetts State Police are conducting an investigation into the incident.
