A fatal motorcycle crash closed northbound Santa Fe Drive in Sheridan for nearly four hours on Wednesday morning.
The incident occurred at 6:08 a.m. when a motorcyclist crashed into the back of an Xcel Energy utility truck near the intersection with westbound U.S. 285, also known as Hampden Avenue, according to the Sheridan Police Department. Details surrounding the events leading up to the crash are currently unavailable.
Authorities stated that northbound Santa Fe Drive reopened at 9:44 a.m. Emergency responders attended the scene, and the identity of the deceased motorcyclist will be released by the Arapahoe County Coroner's Office.
