Milton Woman Dies Following Parking Lot Collision in Lewes on Jan. 30
LEWES, DE — A 63-year-old woman died on Jan. 30 after being struck by a vehicle in a shopping center parking lot.
According to Delaware State Police, the incident occurred at approximately 3:22 p.m. in the parking lot of Weis Markets. An 86-year-old man from Lewes was driving a 2015 black Jeep Cherokee southbound when the victim, identified as Deborah Priddy, walked into its path. The Jeep collided with Priddy, who was subsequently transported to a local hospital where she later passed away.
Authorities confirmed that the driver of the Jeep was uninjured. The incident remains under investigation by Delaware State Police.
