Mercedes-Benz recalls over 310,000 vehicles, prompting a look at affected models.

More than 310,000 -Benz vehicles are being recalled due to a potential safety defect regarding door switches.

According to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA), affected vehicles may experience a failure in the door switch, leading to a risk of rollaway incidents. The micro-switch in the driver's door lock could corrode, preventing the electronic parking brake or ‘Auto-Park' feature from engaging automatically.

The recall affects 310,667 vehicles, including models from 2019 to 2026. A list of impacted models includes:

  • 2019-2022 Mercedes-Benz A 220
  • 2019-2022 Mercedes-Benz A 220 4MATIC
  • 2020-2021 Mercedes-Benz AMG A35
  • 2023 Mercedes-Benz AMG C43 4MATIC
  • Additional models from the AMG lineup, C-Class, CLA, GLB, and GLC series.

Per the recall notice, this issue increases the risk of a crash or injury.
