Marion Man Identified as Victim in Fiery Perry County Crash.

A Marion man died in a crash in Perry County on July 16, according to the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency (ALEA).

Barry E. Moore, 42, was driving a 2010 Altima when the vehicle left Perry County 23, struck a tree, and caught fire around 11:30 p.m., ALEA reported. He was not wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash.

Moore's identity was confirmed posthumously by the Alabama Department of Forensic Sciences after being initially unrecognized at the scene. The incident occurred near the intersection of Perry County 23 and Perry County 20, approximately three miles west of Marion.

The ALEA Highway Patrol Division is conducting an investigation. No further details are available at this time.
