Corporal identified as victim fatally struck by car while assisting motorist on I-95 in Boxford, Massachusetts, Monday evening.
A Corporal with the Suffolk County Sheriff's Department was confirmed as the fatality in a crash on Interstate 95 southbound near mile marker 74, which occurred shortly after 8:30 p.m. on Monday.
The victim, identified as Corporal Brett Martin, 51, was initially transported to a nearby hospital with life-threatening injuries but later died. Authorities reported that Martin was attempting to assist a stranded motorist when he was struck by an oncoming vehicle.
