Marysville crash kills 54-year-old man after losing control.

A 54-year-old man died in a crash in Marysville on Aug. 24 when his vehicle struck a tree and collided with a house and a parked .

According to a crash report, Robert Oliver was driving north on North Main Street around 2:45 p.m. in his Honda Civic when he hit a trash can, leading to a loss of control. The car veered off the road, hitting a tree and a front porch on the 600 block of North Main Street before impacting a parked vehicle in the adjacent driveway. The impact caused the porch roof to collapse onto Oliver's car.

Oliver was at the scene. An excavator was called in to remove the collapsed porch from his vehicle. Authorities confirmed that he was wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash. Investigators have not yet determined whether distraction, impairment, or a medical issue contributed to the accident.

The Marysville Police Division is actively investigating the incident. The agency has not provided additional information at this time.
