Lede: A man died following a scooter crash with a vehicle in Northern Kentucky on Sept. 2.
According to Newport police and the Hamilton County Coroner's Office, 37-year-old Kristopher Gardner was struck at the intersection of Monmouth Street and New Linden Road. Gardner was traveling northbound at the time of the collision.
Authorities reported that the vehicle was turning onto New Linden Road from Monmouth Street when it collided with Gardner. He was transported to the University of Cincinnati Medical Center, where he later succumbed to his injuries.
The investigation into the incident is ongoing, and the identity of the driver involved has not been released.
