A Quinton man died in a single-vehicle crash early Dec. 26 in Tuscaloosa County, according to state law enforcement officials.
At approximately midnight, 49-year-old Thomas E. Stanton was driving a 2003 Nissan Frontier when he lost control and struck a tree. Authorities confirmed Stanton was not wearing a seatbelt and was pronounced dead at the scene.
The incident occurred on Alabama 69 near the 156 mile marker, roughly seven miles north of Northport. Emergency responders were dispatched to the location.
No additional details have been released, and the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency's Highway Patrol Division is investigating the crash.
