PIERRE, SD—A 42-year-old man was taken into custody for protective custody due to alcohol following a bicycle crash on Thursday at Wegner Auto.
Authorities said the incident occurred around 5:30 p.m. when the man collided with a parked vehicle. Emergency medical personnel responded to the scene, providing medical aid; however, no serious injuries were reported.
Witnesses reported that the man appeared disoriented following the crash. He was subsequently transported to a local facility for protective custody.
