Deadly Crash Investigated by Jefferson Parish Sheriff's Office in Metairie
METAIRIE, La. — The Jefferson Parish Sheriff's Office is probing a fatal crash that occurred Sunday morning.
According to Sheriff Joseph Lopinto, deputies responded to a single-car crash at approximately 6 a.m. on Veterans Boulevard near Neyrey Drive. They found a white two-door car with a male passenger suffering serious injuries.
Emergency responders transported the man to a local hospital, where he later succumbed to his injuries. Initial findings suggest the vehicle was heading east on Veterans Boulevard when it struck multiple curbs before coming to rest on the median against a tree.
Toxicology results are still pending, and no additional details have been released as the investigation continues.
