Holiday Man Dies After Medical Emergency Causes Crash
HOLIDAY, Fla. — A 57-year-old man died on June 28 after suffering a medical emergency while driving, resulting in a crash on Garfield Drive around 9:02 p.m., authorities reported.
According to the Florida Highway Patrol (FHP), the man was driving a Nissan Pathfinder westbound when he lost control of the vehicle. The Pathfinder traveled across the roadway, struck several trash cans, and collided with an unoccupied Honda Civic parked on Garfield Drive.
The vehicle continued on its path, hitting a tree and then a concrete residential porch before coming to a stop. Emergency responders transported the driver to a local hospital, where he later died.
Authorities are investigating the incident. No lane closures were reported following the crash.
