LANCASTER COUNTY, Pa. — A driver was charged after a single-vehicle crash and vehicle fire at 12:13 a.m. April 15 on East Main Street in Ephrata Township.
According to the Ephrata Police Department, Christopher Ulrich, 49, was driving a Jeep Wrangler in the 800 block when it struck a pedestrian crossing sign and crossed the center median.
Police said the Jeep caught fire after the crash. No injuries were reported.
Authorities said Ulrich exhibited signs of impairment. A breath test measured a 0.168% blood alcohol concentration, according to police.
Ulrich was charged with two DUI misdemeanors and cited for three traffic offenses, according to online court records. He awaits a preliminary arraignment.
