Man Arrested in Phoenix After Crashing Stolen Car Twice.

Authorities have arrested Benjamin Frey, 38, following a series of vehicle thefts and crashes on July 26.

The incident began around 6 p.m. near I-17 and Union Hills Road, where Frey was involved in a collision, according to police.

As officers responded, Frey allegedly attempted to steal a vehicle from a nearby neighborhood at 26th Avenue and Union Hills Drive. After an unsuccessful attempt and an assault on the vehicle's owner, Frey allegedly stole another vehicle from a nearby residence.

Frey subsequently crashed the stolen vehicle at Loop 101 and 59th Avenue, where he was detained by Glendale Police and later arrested by Phoenix Police.

Minor injuries were reported from the incidents, with no individuals requiring hospitalization, authorities said.

Frey faces charges including robbery, second-degree burglary, and theft of means of transportation. He is currently held on a $75,000 bond.
