One Injured in Semi Truck Crash on Highway 70 in Missouri
BOONVILLE, MO – At approximately 2:41 p.m. on October 10, a man was struck by a semi truck while walking on Highway 70.
According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the man, who has not yet been identified, was involved in a prior crash and stepped onto the roadway. Emergency responders arrived at the scene shortly after the incident.
The truck driver, a 45-year-old man, was unharmed, and there were no other vehicles involved. The injured pedestrian was transported to a nearby hospital with serious injuries.
Authorities closed two lanes of the highway for approximately two hours during the investigation and cleanup. The incident is under investigation by the highway patrol, and no further details have been released at this time.
