One Injured in Independence Highway Crash
INDEPENDENCE, MO – One person was hospitalized in serious condition following a car accident on a local highway Thursday, authorities said.
The incident occurred at approximately 2:41 p.m. on Highway 40 near South Noland Road. Two vehicles were involved in the collision, prompting a response from local emergency services.
Paramedics transported the injured individual to a nearby hospital for treatment. The condition of the driver remained undisclosed.
Police closed two lanes of the highway to facilitate emergency response and for preliminary investigations. Towing services were called to remove the involved vehicles from the roadway.
