ORLANDO, Fla. – A Delta Airlines employee died following a vehicle crash at Orlando International Airport on October 5, 2023.
The incident occurred at approximately 4:15 p.m. near Terminal A, involving a service vehicle and a passenger van. Authorities reported that the Delta employee suffered critical injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene.
Emergency responders from the Orange County Fire Rescue and the Airport Police were on site to assist. No passengers were injured in the crash, but several nearby lanes were temporarily closed for the investigation, causing delays.
The crash is currently under investigation by the Orange County Sheriff's Office. Further details on the circumstances of the crash have not yet been released.
