Multiple-Vehicle Crash on Highway 101 Near Redwood City Injures Four
REDWOOD CITY, CA — A multi-vehicle accident on Highway 101 northbound occurred around 2:41 p.m. on Thursday, resulting in four confirmed injuries.
According to the California Highway Patrol, six vehicles were involved in the crash near the Whipple Avenue exit. Emergency response teams, including paramedics and the Redwood City Fire Department, arrived on the scene to provide medical aid.
Authorities reported that victims were transported to local hospitals, but their conditions remain undisclosed. The northbound lanes were closed for approximately 45 minutes during the response and investigation, causing significant traffic delays.
Witnesses reported that poor visibility due to weather conditions may have contributed to the incident. An investigation is ongoing.
Towing services were dispatched to remove damaged vehicles from the roadway.
