A 16-year-old girl sustained moderate injuries in a crash Saturday afternoon on County Road 134 at County Road 132 in Callaway County, according to the Missouri State Highway Patrol (MSHP).
The incident occurred at approximately 2:25 p.m. on October 24. Authorities reported that a 2020 Nissan Rogue traveling eastbound crossed the center line, ran off the left side of the roadway, and struck a tree.
The juvenile passenger was transported by Callaway EMS to University Hospital. The report indicated she was not wearing a safety device.
The driver, a 48-year-old woman from Williamsburg, was also not wearing a safety device. The vehicle sustained moderate damage and was secured at the scene by authorities.
There were no fatalities reported, and an investigation into the crash is ongoing.
