A 75-year-old man from Camdenton was seriously injured in a head-on crash Sunday morning in Camden County.
According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol (MSHP), the incident occurred around 9:30 a.m. on Resort Road, approximately 374 feet south of Barnes Hollow Drive.
The man was riding a 2021 BMW R9T southbound when he crossed the centerline and collided head-on with a northbound 2022 Lexus NX350.
Authorities reported that the motorcyclist sustained serious injuries and was transported by Mercy EMS to Lake Regional for treatment, having been equipped with a safety device at the time of the crash.
The Lexus was driven by a 70-year-old woman from Warsaw, Illinois, who reported no injuries.
Both vehicles incurred moderate damage; the motorcycle was towed from the scene by Bledsoe's, while the Lexus was able to be driven away.
