LAS VEGAS (KSNV) — A juvenile pedestrian was critically injured after being struck by a pickup truck Thursday morning in east Las Vegas.
The incident occurred at approximately 8:27 a.m. near Triest Court and East Bonanza Road, just west of Lamb Boulevard, according to the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department.
Authorities reported a single-vehicle versus pedestrian collision on East Bonanza Road, where evidence suggests the pedestrian was crossing northbound outside of a marked crosswalk.
The pedestrian entered the path of a westbound 2018 Chevrolet Silverado pickup truck, which struck her, projecting her onto the roadway. The driver stopped the vehicle just west of the crash scene.
Emergency medical services transported the pedestrian to University Medical Center's Trauma Center, where she remains in critical condition.
Police confirmed the driver was not injured, remained at the scene, and showed no signs of impairment.
