One Dead in Single-Car Crash in Metairie
METAIRIE, La. — A man is dead following a single-car crash early Saturday morning.
According to the Jefferson Parish Sheriff's Office, the incident occurred around 4 a.m. at the intersection of North I-10 Service Road and Neyrey Drive. Deputies found the unresponsive male driver inside a sedan, suffering from crash-related injuries. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
The sedan was situated between the roadway and a concrete wall, authorities said. The Jefferson Parish Coroner's Office will conduct an autopsy that includes toxicology tests.
There were no other vehicles or injuries reported. The investigation is ongoing.
