Josh Hartnett Hospitalized After Collision with Police Vehicle in St. John's
ST. JOHN'S, NL — Actor Josh Hartnett was taken to the hospital following a vehicle collision involving a Royal Newfoundland Constabulary (RNC) car early Thursday morning. The incident occurred around 1 a.m. at the intersection of New Cove Road and Elizabeth Avenue.
According to the RNC, Hartnett, 47, was a passenger in an SUV driven by a 59-year-old man unnamed in the report. Both vehicles sustained significant damage from the crash. The RNC also reported that one officer was transported to the hospital as a precaution.
Medical staff assessed Hartnett, his driver, and the officer for minor injuries. All three were treated at the scene before being transported for further evaluation.

Hartnett was reportedly returning from filming an untitled Netflix series featuring a cast that includes Mackenzie Davis, Charlie Heaton, and Natasha Henstridge. The series follows a fisherman whose hometown is threatened by a mysterious creature, as described in a promotional social media post by Netflix.
The investigation into the crash remains ongoing.
