MADISON (WKOW) — One person was hospitalized with non-life-threatening injuries following a crash involving a semi-truck and two vehicles on the Beltline near Todd Drive on Wednesday at approximately 3:45 p.m.
According to the Madison Police Department, the semi-truck changed lanes and collided with a Kia Sorento, causing the Kia to spin multiple times before striking the semi-truck again and impacting a third vehicle.
The driver of the Kia was taken to the hospital for treatment. Emergency responders from the Wisconsin State Patrol also arrived at the scene to conduct an inspection of the semi-truck involved in the incident.
The crash resulted in significant traffic disruptions, closing two right lanes for nearly two hours. Authorities are continuing their investigation into the circumstances surrounding the crash.
