Injured Pedestrian Seeks Help After Highway 285 Hit-and-Run Crash

COLORADO STATE PATROL SEEKS DRIVER AFTER CRASH ON HIGHWAY 285

PARK COUNTY, Colo. — A driver is being sought following a crash on southbound Highway 285 on Sunday night.

At approximately 11:45 p.m., Colorado State Patrol (CSP) troopers responded to reports of a 2002 Toyota Tacoma that had rolled over near mile marker 197. During the investigation, authorities learned that a 40-year-old woman was struck by another vehicle while attempting to flag down help. She was subsequently to a nearby hospital with serious injuries.

The other driver did not remain at the scene of the incident. CSP identified the suspect's vehicle as a black 2011-2014 Volvo S60, with temporary tags and possible damage to the passenger-side mirror.

The CSP Vehicular Crimes Unit is urging anyone with information about the Volvo or its driver to contact CSP Dispatch at 303-239-4501.

This incident remains under investigation.
