Three Injured in Morning I-30 Crash Involving 18-Wheeler
GARLAND, TX — Three individuals were injured following a serious collision involving an 18-wheeler on Interstate 30 on Monday morning.
According to the Garland Police Department, the incident occurred around 8:15 a.m. when a sedan and an 18-wheeler collided while traveling westbound near Dalrock Road. The impact caused the truck to strike the center concrete barrier, spilling its cargo into the eastbound lanes.
Witnesses reported that the eastbound vehicle was occupied by four individuals, including two children. Three occupants were transported to a local hospital, but their conditions remain unconfirmed.
Authorities said significant traffic delays are anticipated, with motorists advised to avoid the area and seek alternate routes. I-30 is closed eastbound at Bass Pro Drive and westbound at Dalrock Road. The roadway is expected to remain shut for an extended period as emergency personnel conduct an investigation into the crash.
