Pursuit Crash Occurs on Highway 101 in San Jose, May 4
SAN JOSE, CA — A police pursuit ended in a crash on Highway 101 near Story Road on May 4 at approximately 2:41 p.m.
According to authorities, the incident began when officers attempted to pull over a stolen vehicle. The suspect fled northbound at high speeds, ultimately losing control and going airborne before striking a concrete barrier.
Emergency responders, including the San Jose Fire Department and the California Highway Patrol, arrived on scene. Two individuals from the suspect vehicle sustained injuries and were transported to a local hospital. Their conditions remain unknown at this time.
Highway 101 experienced significant lane closures due to the crash, causing delays in both directions. Towing services were called to remove the wreckage.
