Long Neck Road Closed Following Head-On Collision
LONG NECK, Del. — A two-car crash on Long Neck Road near Ridgewood Road closed the roadway around 6 p.m. on Dec. 10.
According to fire officials with the Indian River Volunteer Fire Company, a Honda Pilot and a Toyota 4-Runner collided head-on near a sharp curve in the road.
Emergency units from Indian River Volunteer Fire Company responded, including Rescue 80 and Tanker 80 from the Oak Orchard facility, as well as Squad 80 and Engine 80 from Long Neck.
Authorities reported multiple injuries as a result of the collision. Delaware State Police are investigating the incident.
No further details regarding the condition of the drivers or passengers have been released. Lane closures are expected to remain in effect while the investigation continues.
