Dover Car Crash Claims Life of 27-Year-Old
Delaware State Police are investigating a single-car crash in Dover that resulted in the death of a 27-year-old man on July 26.
According to authorities, the crash occurred at approximately 3:10 p.m. when a Lexus GX entered the right merge lane of Bay Road northbound from Exit 93. The investigation indicates the vehicle was traveling at an apparent high rate of speed and was changing lanes recklessly, police said.
Emergency responders arrived on the scene to assist, but the driver was pronounced dead at the site of the accident. No additional injuries were reported.
The roadway was temporarily closed as investigators processed the scene, and towing services were called to retrieve the vehicle. The investigation remains ongoing.
