Griselda Chavez-Pazcual Killed in Crash Crash With Semi on West Second Street in Ottumwa , Iowa
Ottumwa, Iowa – A 21-year-old Ottumwa woman was killed in an early Sunday morning crash between a semi-truck and a vehicle on the west side of Ottumwa, according to the Iowa State Patrol.
According to ISP, Griselda Chavez-Pazcual was driving a Jeep eastbound on West Second Street when she lost control of the Jeep at around 1:10 a.m. on Sunday, March 14.
The Jeep drifted into the path of oncoming traffic and collided head-on with a westbound semi-truck.
Chavez-Pazcual was rushed to Ottumwa Regional Health Center, where she was pronounced deceased.
The driver of the semi, Wayne Waters, 80, of Blakesburg, was not injured in the accident.
The Iowa State Patrol is investigating the incident.
