Serious Injuries Reported in Route 1 Crash
A two-vehicle collision on Route 1 near Hudson Fields resulted in serious injuries on Jan. 17 at 11:23 a.m.
According to authorities, a Chevrolet Camaro, which was stopped at the intersection of Route 1 and Hudson Road, proceeded east and collided with a southbound Toyota Camry. The driver of the Camry, a 71-year-old woman from Frederica, was extricated from her vehicle and transported by air to an area hospital with serious injuries.
The 16-year-old driver of the Camaro, from Lewes, was not injured and has been cited for failing to remain at a stop sign.
The investigation into the incident is ongoing.
