Florida Woman Revived by Deputies After Being Found Unresponsive Behind Wheel Following Highway Crash

HILLSBOROUGH COUNTY, Fla. (CBS12) — A critical rescue unfolded Wednesday afternoon when deputies found an unconscious driver on I-4.

According to the Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office, deputies were responding to a crash when they discovered a woman unconscious behind the wheel of her vehicle. Authorities confirmed she was not breathing and lacked a pulse.

A second deputy arrived on scene shortly after and assisted in the rescue. The deputies extricated the woman from her vehicle and initiated CPR. One deputy utilized a defibrillator while both continued administering emergency medical care.

CPR and other life-saving measures were sustained until firefighters arrived to assume care. The woman was subsequently transported to a hospital, where she is reported to be in stable condition.

The incident highlights the rapid response of law enforcement in life-threatening situations.
