HILLSBOROUGH COUNTY, Fla. (CBS12) — On Wednesday, Florida deputies rescued an unconscious driver during a traffic crash response on I-4.
According to the Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office, deputies arrived at the scene of the crash and were directed to a woman slumped behind the wheel. Authorities reported she was not breathing and lacked a pulse.
Moments later, a second deputy arrived and assisted in the rescue. The deputies removed the woman from the vehicle and initiated CPR, deploying a defibrillator as part of their life-saving efforts.
Emergency medical units arrived shortly thereafter to take over care. The woman was subsequently transported to a nearby hospital, where she is reported to be in stable condition.
