A motorcycle crash involving a car in Metro Vancouver, British Columbia, on Saturday afternoon resulted in serious injuries to the motorcycle rider, authorities said.
Delta Police Department responded to reports of the incident, which occurred at approximately 2:41 p.m. Witnesses described the motorcycle as hanging off a nearby traffic light following the collision.
The motorcycle rider suffered serious but non-life-threatening injuries and was transported to a local hospital. The driver of the car did not report any injuries, according to officials.
Authorities noted that speed is believed to have been a factor in the crash. Emergency responders managed the scene, and lane closures were implemented as an investigation commenced.
