Fatal Crash in Minneapolis Involves Medical Emergency as Factor

Lede: A medical emergency is being investigated as a potential factor in a fatal crash in Minneapolis on Thursday night.

Authorities responded to a collision with injuries on the 4300 block of 46th Avenue South just after 7:15 p.m. A woman in her 60s was found receiving medical care and was transported to a hospital, where she later died. The Hennepin County Medical Examiner identified her as 69-year-old Deanne Marie Hild.

According to police, Hild was driving south when her vehicle sideswiped another and subsequently struck a parked vehicle. Officials noted that a medical emergency is considered a potential contributing factor in the incident.

There were no additional injuries reported in the crash, and the investigation is ongoing.
