MADISON, Miss. — One person was killed, and another injured in a head-on collision involving an SUV and a car on Highway 16 near Davis Road Wednesday morning.
According to the Mississippi Highway Patrol, the crash occurred around 6 a.m. Janet Scott, 63, of Yazoo, was confirmed deceased at the scene. The driver of the SUV sustained unknown injuries and was transported to the University of Mississippi Medical Center in Jackson for treatment.
