A multi-vehicle collision on Interstate 95 in South Miami resulted in one fatality and multiple injuries on Oct. 9, authorities said.
The incident occurred around 6:45 p.m. involving three cars and a motorcycle, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.
Emergency responders arrived on the scene near Exit 12 and found a 34-year-old motorcyclist deceased. Four additional individuals sustained non-life-threatening injuries and were transported to South Miami Hospital.
Authorities reported that northbound lanes of I-95 were closed for approximately two hours during the investigation and cleanup.
The cause of the crash is under investigation. Further details are pending from law enforcement.
