MANCHESTER − Two teenage girls riding a gas-powered minibike without helmets were involved in a collision with a minivan on March 11.
The incident occurred at 6:30 p.m. at the intersection of Commonwealth Boulevard and Pemberton Street in the Pine Lake Park area, according to police.
Authorities reported that the minibike failed to stop at a sign, leading to the crash. Fortunately, the girls sustained only minor injuries.
Emergency responders, including local police and medical personnel, arrived at the scene to provide aid. Both the minibike and minivan were removed from the roadway, which experienced brief lane closures during the investigation.
No additional information regarding the condition of the minivan driver was available.
The investigation into the incident is ongoing, authorities said.
