Driver killed in chain reaction crash on Route 3 in Nashua, police report.

NASHUA, N.H. — One person is dead following a three- crash on the Everett Turnpike northbound near mile marker 7 on Wednesday at 4:30 p.m.

According to State Police, the incident occurred when 69-year-old Theresa Douville of Hooksett failed to slow for stopped traffic, colliding with the vehicle ahead, driven by 35-year-old Gyna Santana of Lawrence, Massachusetts. This impact initiated a chain reaction, striking another vehicle operated by 30-year-old Madison Berube of Hooksett.

Authorities confirmed that Douville was not wearing a seatbelt and sustained serious injuries. Despite life-saving efforts, she was at a local hospital. Santana, Berube, and several child passengers were transported to the hospital as a precaution.

Three lanes of northbound traffic were closed for approximately one hour. The crash remains under investigation; anyone with information is encouraged to contact State Police.
