RHAME, N.D. — A crash on Sunday evening claimed the life of a 19-year-old man near Rhame.
The incident occurred at approximately 7 p.m. MT on August 2, in Bowman County, according to the North Dakota Highway Patrol. Jaxon Jungwirth of Pierre, South Dakota, was driving a 2023 Toyota Tacoma when the vehicle left the roadway, overcorrected, and rolled into a ditch.
Authorities reported that Jungwirth was not wearing a seatbelt and suffered fatal injuries in the crash. Emergency responders included the North Dakota Highway Patrol, Bowman County Sheriff's Office, Bowman Ambulance Service, and fire departments from Rhame and Bowman County.
The crash remains under investigation by the Highway Patrol.
